The Ghost 14 outsole is made from soft blown rubber on the forefoot with many flex grooves which help the forefoot flex easily, and harder, carbon rubber on the heel. The Pegasus 39 also has the forefoot Zoom Air unit and heel Zoom Air unit which provides a “pop” on toe-off. When it comes to responsiveness, the midsole of the Pegasus 39 is React foam, which is more responsive than the traditional EVA foam of the Ghost 14 midsole. The Pegasus 39 and the Ghost 14 have very little lean bias. Both shoes have plenty of underfoot protection and can handle marathon distances with ease.īoth shoes are very stable. The Pegasus 39 rides firmer so is more suited to short tempo runs. The Ghost 14 rides softer than the Pegasus 39 so it’s better for long runs but it can handle the occasional tempo outing.
